The Biden administration will make two cabinet announcements on Tuesday as it continues the push to transition into the White House. President-elect Joe Biden’s incoming chief of staff Ron Klain this morning flagged the announcements, which he said would be the first of a succession of announcements in the lead up to inauguration day on January 20. He said diversity among cabinet members would be a significant focus for the Biden administration. Mr Klain also defended the pace of the announcements – following commentary they were slow to be made due to the transition period – pointing to similar post-election scenes with the Obama and Trump administrations.
