    President Joe Biden met with a group of labor leaders in the Oval Office Wednesday, as part of his campaign promoting his $1.9 trillion proposed response to the coronavirus pandemic.

    Biden made brief remarks while reporters were in the Oval Office, highlighting the importance of the American Rescue Plan.

    “I think we have an incredible opportunity to make some enormous progress,” Biden said.

    He added: “A lot of these folks have been my friends for a long, long long time. As they say in parts of my state, these are the folks that brung me to the dance and I appreciate their friendship.”

    The president also confirmed, as questions were shouted, that he had a “good” conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
