U.S. President Joe Biden is expected to provide an update on the ongoing withdrawal of military troops from Afghanistan, just hours after U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced that most British soldiers had also been pulled out of the region.

NATO, of which Britain is a member, said in April that its troops would begin withdrawing in coordination with a decision by Biden to pull out U.S. troops by Sept. 11.
