    The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) is set to hold another emergency meeting Tuesday on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict after the U.S. once again blocked the adoption of a UNSC statement urging a halt to the violence.

    The White House said the U.S. President Joe Biden expressed his support for a ceasefire when he spoke to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Meanwhile, the Biden administration has reportedly approved the sale of over $700 million worth of weapons to Israel.
