In the US, the political battle continues over who will replace the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg who died on Friday. President Donald Trump wants to rush through the process of appointing a new judge but his Democratic rival in the upcoming presidential election, Joe Biden, says it is an exercise in “raw political power”. Trump has said he will announce a nominee to replace the late Ginsburg as early as next week. Biden wants Senate Republicans to delay a confirmation vote until after the presidential election.
