Belarus’ President Alexander Lukashenko is seeking support from a powerful neighbour as pressure mounts on his leadership. He heads for a meeting with Russia’s president on Monday, after a fifth weekend of protests. Police arrested more than 400 people at the latest demonstrations in the capital, but it did not deter hundreds of thousands demanding Lukashenko’s resignation.
