Human Rights Watch has issued a scathing report on what it describes as the Lebanese government’s failure to ‘deliver justice’ following last years ‘apocalyptic blast’ that levelled parts of the capital.

On August the fourth, tons of chemicals stored in a warehouse detonated wiping numerous buildings off the map and damaging many more beyond repair. Two hundred people lost their lives, and more than six thousand were injured. Following the blast, the Lebanese government stepped down, while the President promised political reform.
