More dramatic footage has emerged showing how everyday life in #Lebanon’s #Beirut was literally torn apart by Tuesday’s explosion.
What would have been a beautifully-shot #wedding video turned into a scene from a disaster movie as the shockwave from the blast ripped through the Lebanese capital and blew out the church’s stained glass windows, just as the bride was about to enter.
The film shows, presumably, four members of the bridal party approaching the altar, with the bride waiting in the doorway. Guests are sat in pews.
As a bang is heard, a woman crosses herself before the wave hits the church seconds later, the force shattering the windows and knocking one man off his feet. No one at the wedding was reported to be seriously hurt.
The church is in Ain El Remmaneh, approximately 15km from the port where the explosion happened, illustrating its terrifying power.
