Beijing has implemented harsh Covid-19 restrictions to control the city’s recent virus outbreaks. The capital has confirmed 892 Covid-19 cases since April 22, 2022. Beijing’s central business district has been deserted due to strengthening Covid restrictions. Authorities have asked all people in the Chaoyang district to work from home except for those who must go to offices to maintain company operations. The increasingly harsh virus control measures have hit many businesses across the city.
