China’s Foreign Ministry spoke out about an hour-long documentary on Xinjiang presented by CGTN. “Tianshan: Still Standing” is the third in a series of documentaries. It spoke to more than 30 survivors and victims’ loved ones about the impact of violence in the region over the years. Some western politicians and media challenged China’s policies but Beijing said the program shows a different side.
