Director of the FBI Christopher Wray has called China “the greatest long-term threat” to the U.S. Wray claimed that China is attempting to be the “world’s only superpower.” He also accused China of conducting espionage campaigns in the U.S., threatening the American economy and intellectual property.
Beijing on Wednesday refuted the accusations. A spokesman of the foreign ministry said, “The words of some US officials are full of political lies in negligence of basic facts, exposing their deep-seated Cold-War mindset and ideological bias.”
