The Chinese capital Beijing has begun easing some of its strict Covid-control rules, including scrapping the requirement for a negative Covid test to use public transport. Despite the move, which took effect on November 5, 2022, people are still required to test negative within 48 hours to access office buildings, as much of Beijing’s central business district remains deserted.
