In the early stages of the COVID-19 outbreak in China, there was an unprecedented spike in the number of infected patients. In response, the country acted quickly to provide state-of-the-art treatment facilities. On January 23, 2020, two days before Chinese New Year, the government in Wuhan decided to build Huoshenshan Hospital, which was slated to house at least 1,000 beds. However, during that time, many workers had already gone home for the Spring Festival.
