After four decades of campaigning, hundreds of families that have been wronged by the Primodos scandal have finally been recognised.
An independent review found that children suffered ‘avoidable harm’ from the failure to regulate Primodos, a drug used for hormone pregnancy tests.
It is the moment parents have campaigned for since the late 1970s after they realised their children’s severe congenital malformations could have been caused by the drug given to them by GPs.
