Battle for Mosul: ISIL using tunnels to evade Iraqi forces

Kurdish Peshmerga forces have been facing stiff resistance from ISIL fighters as they move in on the Iraqi town of Bashiqa.

It’s part of the offensive to retake the nearby city of Mosul, ISIL’s last stronghold in Iraq. But ISIL fighters have been taking measures to evade the advancing forces.
