A COVID alert has been issued for people who attended the Bathurst 1000 at Mount Panorama Race Track on Saturday and Sunday.
The NSW Premier and Prime Minister visited the track on Sunday morning. The Dominic Perrottet says he has already been advised that he was not a ‘close contact.’
“I was informed early this afternoon that I’m not a close contact. But obviously, for those people who have been to Bathurst and have symptoms, they need to get tested. And, if there is advice from NSW Health, then they need to follow that advice” – NSW Premier Dom Perrottet.
NSW Health says the following venues were visited by confirmed cases of COVID-19:
– Mount Panorama Race Track, Bathurst – 4 and 5 December, 2021.
– McPhillamy Park Campground – All day until 7:00pm
– The Paddock Campground – All day until 3:00pm
– Harris Park, Merchandise Alley, National Motor Racing Museum, Inside Chase viewing area – All day until 3:00pm
“Anyone who attended this venue should monitor for symptoms and get a COVID test and isolate if symptoms develop” – NSW Health statement.
