    Judge Amy Coney Barrett apologized on Tuesday for several times referring to sexual orientation, the accepted term, as “sexual preference” when discussing same-sex marriage. “I certainly didn’t mean….to use a term that would cause any offense in the LGBTQ community,” she said on Day 2 of her Senate confirmation hearings for the Supreme Court.
