Barcelona Attack: Police found a passport in van belonging to Spanish national with Arabic surname

In the video above, posted within a short time from the horrific Barcelona attack of 17 August 2017, France 24 describe how “unconfirmed” reports state that the van which carried out the attack contained a passport “belonging to a Spanish national with an ‘Arabic’ surname.”

It is either incredibly careless or increibly false that the perpetrator of such an attack – who apparently fled on foot – was carrying his own passport and left it at the scene of the crime. It remains to be seen whether or not this story was based at all in fact.
