There’s no question that predicting what the economy is going to do next, as the UK emerges from Covid restrictions is pretty tricky.

Three months ago, the Bank of England predicted inflation would rise to 2.5%.

Today the bank revised that figure upwards. To a rather chunkier – and worrying – 4%.
