Bangladesh cyclone: Aid workers warn of ‘acute crisis’
Hundreds of thousands of Rohingya refugees are facing an “acute crisis” after a cyclone destroyed their camps in Bangladesh, according to the International Organisaton for Migration (IOM).
The IOM says food, water and health services are scarce, and that more than 16,000 makeshift homes have been damaged or destroyed.
The Rohingyas are living in overcrowded camps in Cox’s Bazar, having escaped violence in neighbouring Myanmar.
Al Jazeera’s Tanvir Chowdhury reports from a Rohingya Refugee Camp in Cox’s Bazar.
