Rex Airlines has completed its first Melbourne to Sydney flight, launching its campaign to crack the capital city market.

The first flight touched down early today – passengers paying just $79 one-way. Australian aviator Max Hazelton AM OBE was on the first Melbourne-Sydney passenger flight.

The airline has also announced flights from Melbourne to the Gold Coast and Adelaide with prices starting at just $69.
