CGTN published this video item, entitled “Autumn vibes: A crack on Hongze Lake hairy crab” – below is their description.
For more:
As the saying goes, “when the autumn winds blow, the hairy crabs grow.” Autumn in October is the best season for hairy crabs as their flesh is at its tastiest. Unrepentant foodies travel all across the country to snag a bite of its flesh and creamy golden roe.
In east China’s Jiangsu Province, freshwater Hongze Lake is a major production hub for hairy crabs. As this year’s harvest season kicked off, CGTN reporter Xu Jinhui follows local farmers to catch hairy crabs and learn how to pick a good one. Also, young returnees share their experience of doing livestream e-commerce to help their village increase income.
