7NEWS Australia published this video item, entitled “Australia’s first rapid antigen test opens in Randwick | 7NEWS” – below is their description.
The new NSW Premier has dashed hopes of an early reopening, saying he will be sticking to next Monday for an end to the lockdown.
7 deaths and 608 new community cases of COVID-19 were confirmed today – that’s the lowest number we’ve seen in seven weeks. But while it does seem we have bent that curve with a consistent downward trend in daily case numbers, authorities warn we’re also seeing fewer people come forward for testing.
The nation’s first drive-thru rapid antigen testing site opened in Randwick today. The test costs $25 and results come back in just 10 minutes. At the moment the tests are only available to staff and businesses within the Randwick City Council area, but it’s hoped that could be expanded.
