This year organisers have taken a calculated risk, chartering 15 flights to bring more than 1,000 players and staff to Melbourne in the midst of a global pandemic
Just days after the first plane touched down the tournament’s unique system of COVID restrictions is already being put to the test, with six positive cases only three weeks out from the first match.
But does it pose a threat to Australia’s successful suppression of the pandemic?
