Australian Kangaroos player Angus Crichton sin binned during 2022 Rugby League World Cup final

7NEWS Australia published this video item, entitled “Australian Kangaroos player Angus Crichton sin binned during 2022 Rugby League World Cup final” – below is their description.

Kangaroo Angus Crichton sought out Samoan Chanel Harris-Tavita after the Rugby League World Cup final to apologise for a hit that saw him sin-binned by referee Ashley Klein.

Crichton says he’s hopeful that any suspension doesn’t extend into the early part of the NRL season.

“It was a reaction, I didn’t know he was coming,” Crichton told reporters at Old Trafford.

“There was no malice in it at all. I apologised to him after the game and he knows that I didn’t try to injure him…I’m a good person who plays the game the way it is meant to be played.”

Australia claimed their third-straight world cup title today, holding off a spirited Samoan side to win 30-10 in Manchester.
