Despite the growing Omicron threat, there will be no further restrictions.. or changes to the current quarantine regime.. at this stage. That’s the key message from the Prime Minister after meeting with state premiers at National Cabinet. However, in New South Wales, all overseas arrivals must now return a negative COVID test before leaving isolation.. and get tested again on day 6 after their arrival. And to ensure compliance, penalties will be increased. It comes after a sixth confirmed case spent time in the community in Western Sydney and on the Central Coast.. before going into isolation. Leading expert in New South Wales public health pathology, Professor Dominic Dwyer joined Sunrise for a live discussion.
