Australia to close controversial refugee prison camp

Protestors calling for the closure of Australia’s refugee prison camps on Nauru and Manus Island have interrupted a speech by Australia’s Prime Minister.

Their protest came on the same day that Australia and Papua New Guinea agreed that one of the prison camps, on Manus Island, would close.

But the details of how and when are not clear.

Al Jazeera’s Andrew Thomas reports from Sydney.
