DW News published this video item, entitled “Australia: Sydney’s ‘life-threatening’ floods leave more than 30,000 facing evacuation | DW News” – below is their description.

More than 30,000 people have been told to either evacuate or prepare to leave their homes in Sydney and its surrounding areas, as torrential rains pummel Australia’s east-coast state of New South Wales for a third straight day, threatening its worst flooding in 18 months.

It’s just the latest in a series of floods to hit the east coast this year. Australia’s emergency minister said the frequent disasters showed climate change must be taken seriously.
