Health Minister Greg Hunt has announced any non-Australian citizen who has been in any of nine African countries in the past 14 days will not be able to enter Australia following the emergence of the Omicron COVID-19 variant. The ban applies to anyone who has been in South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Lesotho, Eswatini, the Seychelles, Malawi and Mozambique.
