Australia fires: Preventing the spread – BBC News

Wildfires have devastated parts of Australia, and hundreds are still burning – mainly across the south-east of the country. Meanwhile, authorities are trying to contain the blazes and prevent them from spreading further. There are still 8 to 10 weeks of the bushfire season ahead.
