Sky News Australia published this video item, entitled “AstraZeneca vaccine results indicate 90 per cent effectiveness” – below is their description.
Data from clinical studies of 24,000 people has shown the AstraZeneca vaccine is 90 per cent effective and may reduce the spread of the disease. This marks the first trial vaccine so far which could potentially limit the spread of the virus. Results from the trials have also shown no major side effects. The Oxford University vaccine is based on a virus which causes the common cold in chimpanzees, and has been modified to be harmless and adapted to carry part of the coronavirus. Four million doses could be ready to roll out by the end of December, with more to come next year, if safety regulators give it the green light – with an announcement expected within days.
