World Health Organization (WHO) published this video item, entitled “Assistive technology changes lives” – below is their description.
In this short film, children, adults and older people from around the world share how assistive products such as hearing aids and wheelchairs enable them to live life to the full. 2.5 billion people need assistive technology, but more than a third are denied access. This short film has been developed for the launch of the first ever Global Report on Assistive Technology, co-published by WHO and UNICEF, and with 10 recommendations for improving access to these life-changing products.
