Sonam Wangchuk is an engineer who is said to have inspired the story behind #Bollywood blockbuster “3 Idiots”. He’s most famous for his creative solution to the water crisis in the Himalayan region, the “ice stupas,” artificial glaciers that store water in the winter, and melt in warmer weather to provide much-needed water to farmers living in harsh conditions that are made worse due to #climatechange.

The #watercrisis is threatening these villagers’ way of life, and many have moved away from their ancestral homes to search for a better environment. Could these artificial glaciers provide enough water to safeguard the homes of the remaining villagers?

And also meet some of the people who keep us safe – traffic police and the SWAT team. What drives them to do their work every day, and what are some of the sacrifices they make?
