  • ABC News (Australia) published this video item, entitled “As some renters benefit from Hobart’s coronavirus price drop, others fear the crunch | ABC News” – below is their description.

Molly Steer and Sage Stainsby couldn’t believe their luck when they secured a rental that was previously short-stay accommodation in one of Hobart’s most expensive suburbs. They’re among renters reaping the benefits of greater choice in properties and a price drop fuelled by job losses, the conversion of short-stay properties to long-term rentals, and a major reduction in international students. But overall, Hobart rental prices have actually risen 1.3 per cent compared with the same time last year, and people on low to medium incomes are struggling.
