Daily Mail published this video item, entitled “Artist honors lives taken by COVID-19 with white flag exhibition” – below is their description.

DC artist Suzanne Brennan Firstenberg and her team planted 666,624 flags to begin their art installation honoring the victims of COVID-19. Volunteers will add more as the death toll rises. Each flag can be personalized with a message from loved ones, with some reading: ‘I love you mom’ and ‘Wish we had more time.’ Many families were not able to hold memorial services for their loved ones at the start of the pandemic or get to say their last words. These installation works to honor them and their last moments. Firstenberg was first inspired to create this project after Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick said the economy was for more important the lives. She originally planted 267,000 flags near Washington’s RFK Stadium back in October to honor COVID-19 deaths. Now the death toll is nearing 700,000 and she works to honor them again.
