An Arizona fire captain has designed a bulletproof vest for children to protect them in a school shooting. The vest is designed to fit into school backpacks. His company, Escape Armour, also produces a shield that makes any backpack bulletproof.
Nineteen children and two teachers were killed in Uvalde, Texas, on May 24, in one of the US’ deadliest school shootings. There have been at least 267 mass shootings in the US this year, according to non-profit group, Gun Violence Archive.
