Tens of thousands of COVID-19 cases continue to be recorded daily in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Medical experts warn health systems in the region are at breaking point and vaccines have reached only about five percent of the population.

But people are increasingly pushing for restrictions to be eased – so they can get back to some of their most loved pastimes.

And in Argentina, tango dancers are holding a musical protest in the heart of Buenos Aires against further lockdowns and for an end to social distancing.

Al Jazeera’s Daniel Schweimler reports from Buenos Aires, Argentina.
