CGTN published this video item, entitled “Are China’s high speed rail tickets a good value?” – below is their description.
For more:
China has developed the longest length of lines in operation, more than the sum totals of rail lines in Spain, Japan, France and Germany combined. But along with such incredibly fast construction, HSR ticket prices in China have seen little changes in the past 10 years. For China, the HSR spending level had dropped from 5.42 percent in 2008 to 1.57 percent in 2021, meaning the high-speed transportation method was becoming much more affordable, making it more competitive among its international counterparts, while also proving that China’s HSR ticket prices have shown really good value.
