The Apple Fire burned more than 20,516 acres in southern California, with zero containment, according to the San Bernardino National Forest’s report. Evacuation orders were issued for communities in Riverside County and San Bernardino County, the report said.
Steep and rugged terrain hindered firefighters’ access to the blaze, officials said.
This timelapse, filmed from Mount Edna in Riverside County, shows the Apple Fire burning from 9 pm to 10 pm on Saturday.
