The Asia-Pacific is home to some 2.9 billion people, or nearly 40 percent of the world population. With that much weight on its shoulders, APEC 2022 starts the ball rolling this week with its yearly economic leaders’ meeting. As the region is one of the most dynamic regions of the world today, the annual APEC events have also become hubs for movers and shakers around the world. Among them is Klaus Schwab, the founder of the World Economic Forum. After a series of events taking place in the region like the G20 in Bali, he sat down with CGTN’s Tian Wei on the sidelines of the APEC CEO Summit, and shared his observations about whether major economies of the region and the world can shore up global governance.
