BBC News published this video item, entitled “Anger and grief of families of soldiers killed in Afghan war – BBC News” – below is their description.
It’s 20 years since US forces first launched airstrikes against Al Qaeda and the Taliban in Afghanistan, in response to the attacks of 9/11.
For military families of coalition troops who lost relatives in the conflict, it will be a poignant and difficult moment.
More than 3,500 people serving with coalition forces in Afghanistan were killed in the conflict.
Among them was Private Conrad Lewis, a British soldier who was killed in Helmand province in 2011. His family is one among thousands who have watched as forces withdraw from the Afghanistan conflict.
