Andy Burnham: ‘The govt has gone a step too far’

Sky News published this video item, entitled “Andy Burnham: ‘The govt has gone a step too far'” – below is their description.

Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham says the Government has “gone too far” in lifting the requirement to wear masks from 19 July, especially on public transport.

He says “freedom day for some will mean a loss of freedom day for others”.

On Monday at a Downing Street news conference, Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced there will be no more legal requirement on wearing face masks in shops or on public transport beyond the final stage of lockdown easing.

But some unions and Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer have suggested mask wearing should remain mandatory on modes of transport to keep people safe.
