America’s Culture Wars: The Fight Over Abortion | DW News

DW News published this video item, entitled “America’s Culture Wars: The Fight Over Abortion | DW News” – below is their description.

The U.S. is barreling towards a major change: a leaked draft majority opinion from the Supreme Court shows that the justices are poised to overturn Roe vs. Wade, the landmark court ruling that legalized abortion in 1973. Thirteen states have trigger laws in place that will ban abortions as soon as Roe vs. Wade is overturned. DW traveled to Louisiana, one of the central frontlines in America’s conservative roll-back. We witness first-hand how lawmakers are laying the ground for a post-Roe vs. Wade world, and we find out what that landscape will look like for women.
