As the nation welcomes the Communist Party of China’s first centennial, the United Arab Emirates also celebrated “The Year of 50” earlier this year. Both countries celebrate major milestones at the same time. Since the establishment of diplomatic ties in 1984, relations between the two countries have grown friendly and cooperative. The UAE is China’s largest export market and the second largest trading partner in the Arab world. Earlier, UAE Ambassador to China Ali Al Dhaheri, who has seen rapid progress in bilateral relations, said what impressed him the most was the “strong belief in the leadership from the Chinese people.”
