Ambassador Lin Songtian discusses China-Africa pandemic aid

During his speech at the opening of the World Health Assembly, Chinese President #Xi Jinping mentioned #Africa specifically, saying China will establish a cooperation mechanism for its hospitals to pair up with 30 African hospitals and accelerate the building of the Africa CDC headquarters to help the continent ramp up its disease preparedness and control capacity. Ambassador Lin Songtian, former Chinese ambassador to Liberia and Malawi who went on to serve in South Africa, has devoted a significant part of his life to China’s relations with African countries, witnessing the growing bilateral ties between China and African countries. CGTN’s Tian Wei sat down with the ambassador to discuss what he is working on at the moment. #Coronavirus
