ABC News (Australia) published this video item, entitled “Allegations of widespread illegal logging in Victorian water catchment areas | 7.30” – below is their description.

The Victorian government prides itself on its progressive values, especially when it comes to the environment, but experts say the Victorian Government’s own logging company, VicForests, could be jeopardising the health of the state’s’ forests.

In the first instalment of a special two-part investigation, national environment reporter Michael Slezak and producer Laura Kewley investigate allegations of illegal logging and how it could risk Melbourne’s drinking water supply.
