BBC News published this video item, entitled “AI powered fighter jet to be developed by UK, Japan and Italy – BBC News” – below is their description.
The UK, Italy and Japan have announced a collaboration to develop a new fighter jet, which will use artificial intelligence.
Scheduled to enter service in the mid-2030s, the new Tempest jets will use advanced sensors and even artificial intelligence to assist the human pilot when they are overwhelmed, or under extreme stress.
It means that if required, they could be flown without any input from the pilots, and could be able to fire hypersonic missiles.
Work to develop the combat aircraft is already underway, while other countries could yet join the project.
