Concerning stories are emerging from Victoria’s aged care sector, with the Health Workers Union claiming at least one staff member at Arcare Maidstone was encouraged to keep attending their shifts when they should have been isolating. The union also says a grant system to top-up payments, so employees don’t work across multiple sites, is flawed and needs a major overhaul.
