The Telegraph published this video item, entitled “Aerial footage shows queues for fuel endure despite attempts to reassure drivers” – below is their description.
Footage taken in London on Friday shows long queues for fuel as motorists continue to struggle to fill up their vehicles.
It comes as the Government attempted to assure drivers that the situation is “stabilising” and that the crisis should ease in the next few days.
Kit Malthouse, the policing minister, told BBC Radio 4’s Today programme on Friday: “My latest briefing is that situation is stabilising. We are seeing more forecourts now with greater supply of fuel. As supply and demand balance in the next few days we will see a return to normality.”
His comments followed warnings from the Petrol Retailers Association which claimed that more than a quarter of garages remain “dry”.
