Survivors of institutional child sexual abuse have been waiting two years for organisations to sign up to the National Redress Scheme – but in truth, it’s been nearly a lifetime of waiting.
Hundreds have signed up, but six failed to meet the June 30 deadline. The government says as a result, 55 applications from survivors can’t be processed.
